Peter has extensive experience in commercial and transactional matters across a range of industries, including a specialised understanding of the intellectual property aspects of such matters. He is familiar with the complexities involved in advising on a wide range of commercial agreements and arrangements including shareholder agreements, intellectual property licensing, distribution agreements, software development and support agreements, services agreements and executive employment contracts. Business acquisitions and disposals, and large government tenders, are two areas in which Peter has particular expertise.
Clients from industries including Media, Advertising, Tourism, IT and Financial Services regularly rely on Peter’s legal knowledge and transactional skills. Work ProjectsPeter has acted on a range of matters including the following: - Pacific Magazines – Management of a large international trade mark portfolio; Advice on publishing, editorial, copyright and licensing; Trade practices and passing off disputes.
- NRMA Travel – Acquisition of a number of wholesale travel businesses; Advice and representation in relation to client’s appointment as an Official Travel Agent for Rugby World Cup 2011.

Professional BackgroundPeter holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Sydney University. Peter has studied abroad at the University of Freiburg, and has also lectured in Commercial Law at the University of Western Sydney. For over 10 years, Peter has provided legal advice on a pro bono basis to artists through the Arts Law Centre of Australia and in 2009 and 2010 he was one of a number of lawyers to receive an Arts Law Pro Bono Award for his contribution.
